Watsu/Aquatic Bodywork
This is a relatively new form of holistic massage/bodywork created by Harold Dull in California, who, for the past several decades, has refined a technique performed in 94 degree water that is both gentle and deep at the same time.
Imagine drifting afloat in warm water, with muscles melting, your mind calming, your spirit opened and free. No time but the present. No sounds but the water. Sensations of support that allow your body to relax more and more. Watsu has an impressive range of clinical applications and benefits to address pain, stress, fatigue, muscle tension, and emotional issues. Whether for stress reductions or rehabilitative concerns, come float and experience this phenomenal work, in which the practitioner slowly moves the client through the water, utilizing stretching and massage techniques.
Charlie became a Certified Watsu Practitioner in 1999 and continues to study and pursue this work. Charlie has his own outdoor pool which is available from May through September. He also works out of Morristown Memorial Hospital's indoor therapeutic pool on Mt. Kemble Road, as he is affiliated with the hospital's Mind/Body Center.
Upon request, Charlie may also be available to travel to your private pool for sessions.

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) Techniques for Athletes
The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) techniques of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of Athletic Stretching Technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups, but more importantly - functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.
Aaron Mattes' AIS technique is an effective treatment for deep and superficial fascial release, restoring proper fascial planes for optimal physiologic function. Performing an Active Isolated Stretch of no longer than 2.0 seconds, allows the target muscles to optimally lengthen without triggering the protective stretch reflex and subsequent reciprocal antagonistic muscle contraction, as the isolated muscle achieves a state of relaxation. These stretches provide maximum benefit and can be accomplished without resulting trauma or opposing tension.
Aaron is a personal friend and mentor of Charlie. Charlie has trained with Aaron for nearly 15 years and has made several trips to work in Aaron's clinic in Sarasota, Florida.
